OUR SAFETY CULTURE
At Howe Electric Construction, Inc., we believe that productivity, craftsmanship and safety can exist simultaneously, but safety will always come before profit.
Safety is at the forefront of our day to day operations. This starts with constant and transparent communication from the top down. We have an open door policy when it comes to safety hazards and encourage employees to report issues they find in the field. As an employee owned company, we have a personal stake in the safety of our own. By empowering our team with proper training, we provide our clients not only with superior craftsmanship but with the peace of mind the job will be done safely.
OUR SAFETY TRAINING
We work in an ever changing industry that requires a safety program to match. Our Injury & Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) is a living document that changes and grows as the industry does. Beginning on day one, new employees are trained on our safety procedures and receive ongoing training. We host weekly tailgate meetings, topic trainings such as fall prevention, lock out/tag out and heat illness prevention, and have created custom-built learning modules for targeted onsite training in the field. Our field supervision takes pride in continually renewing and retraining on numerous safety topics. Our IIPP system is supported by the latest personal protective equipment and is in compliance with California Labor Code Section 6401.7 (SB 198) and General Industry Safety Order Section 3203. Howe Electric Construction, Inc. insists on a workplace free of mind-altering substances and enforces that with pre-employment, post injury, and regular random drug and alcohol screening.
All of our field personnel are required to have the minimum certifications:

OSHA
NFPA 70E
Forklift / Aerial Lift
CPR / First Aid training
